Fly Hawaii Cats is a partnership between Kitty Charm Farm and Cat Café Maui. Due to a lack of available homes on Maui, KCF primarily finds mainland homes for our healthy, social cats and kittens.
We work with world class no-kill adoption centers such as the Whole Cat and Kaboodle in Seattle, the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, FieldHaven Feline Center in Sacramento and Hearts Alive in Vegas, to name few.
We transfer our cats to the mainland by offering tourists a chance to show Hawaii some extra Aloha. Tourists give back to the island they love by flying our rescue kitties to the mainland on their ticket home.
On any given week, KCF flies as many as 10 cats and kittens to the mainland with perfect strangers who signed up at www.flyhawaiicats.org. KCF books the cats on their ticket, then secures the appropriate vaccines and health certificates.
We meet the tourists at the airport luggage counter and pay the fees. When the tourist lands, our mainland volunteers are waiting at luggage claim to whisk our kitties off to our local adoption centers. This nice family flew our kittens on their private jet!
In the past 2 years, Kitty Charm Farm has removed more than 500 sick and injured cats from the streets of Maui, for good.
In 2025, Fly Hawaii Cats expanded our database to include available flights from ANY Hawaiian island to anywhere on our the mainland. When rescues on the other islands need assistance, we match them with our volunteers.
