For the cats that are not social enough to hop a plane to the Mainland, Kitty Charm Farm is actively involved in TNRM (Trap, Neuter, Return, Manage). KCF has trapped, fixed, microchipped, parasite treated, vaccinated and returned over 1,000 cats on Maui.
In doing so, we have also rescued countless missing pets who have been trapped and dumped by cruel neighbors, turning local families’ ultimate nightmares into their happiest dreams. “The ONLY way we are going to fix the massive cat problem on Maui is to quite literally “fix” our way out of it” -
While KCF brings cats to Maui Humane Society for sterilization most weeks, MHS has had a hard time staffing enough vets and vet techs to provide the TNR services we our island desperately needs. Fixing a male cat at a Maui vet clinic costs anywhere from $150-600.
Fixing a female starts at $400 and runs as high as $1,200! Pet owners can seldom afford this, and high volume trappers like KCF fix as many as 500 in a year making it completely unaffordable.
Until now, Maui Humane has been the only organization providing sterilization for houseless animals. But thanks to a 2025 partnership with the Good Cat Network, KCF is now involved in providing both trappers and the public free sterilization appointments once a month called “Have A Nice Spay”.
